Webster Park
Why I love it: With 550 acres of variety, Webster Park has it all—Lake Ontario shoreline, evergreen slopes, rolling green valleys, and open fields. Between the stone shelters, bluffs, and lakeshore breakers, every session feels like a new discovery.
Best for: Families, pets, portraits, adventurous couples.
Light & timing: Sunset over the lake is gorgeous, and golden hour across the fields can be just as striking. Wind can be a factor near the shore.
Logistics: Multiple parking lots with short walks to viewpoints. The park also has a fishing pier, tennis and pickleball courts, youth camping areas, and a family campground.
Accessibility: Mixed terrain; many flat areas near shelters, though some paths lead to uneven shoreline and slopes.
Permit: Typically not required for small portraits.
Pro tip: Bring a hairbrush or anti-frizz kit on breezy days, and plan footwear that works for both grassy fields and rocky shoreline.
