Why I love it: Abraham Lincoln Park sits along the shoreline of Irondequoit Bay on the Webster/Penfield town line, with oak, hemlock, and sugar maple forest and real bay views, and a much quieter feel than the more popular bay-area parks. It's a good option when Webster Park or Durand Eastman are booked out or feel too busy.

Best for: Families, couples, nature portraits, engagements.

Light & timing: Forest canopy keeps most of the trail system shaded and soft through midday, a good bright-day option. Fall foliage along the bay is strong, and the trails double as snowshoe/cross-country ski routes in winter for a snow session.

Logistics: The 182-acre park (1559 Empire Blvd, Webster) is entered from Smith Road off Empire Blvd, or from Empire Blvd near Daytona Ave. About 3.5 miles of trails wind through in segments ranging from a third of a mile to about a mile and a half, with picnic areas and playgrounds on site.

Accessibility: Mixed and still evolving. Monroe County has been working on accessibility upgrades here (accessible parking, entry signage, road repairs), but much of the trail surface remains natural and uneven. Worth a call to the county or a scouting visit to confirm current conditions before booking a session with mobility needs.

Pro tip: This is the least "discovered" of the bay parks, which makes it a good option for a quieter, less staged-looking session than Webster Park's more polished grounds.
