The Experience

The Session

Family photography sessions begin at $250 and cover the time, talent, and local travel required for your session. Images are purchased separately after viewing your gallery.

All family sessions begin with a consultation. During the consultation, we’ll talk through who will be photographed, location ideas, and what matters most to you, and confirm whether we’re a good fit.

If we decide to move forward, the session fee is confirmed and paid after the consultation to reserve your session. Additional people or locations may affect the session fee.

Your Gallery

After your session, you’ll receive a curated gallery of approximately 25–40 fully edited images that reflect your family’s dynamic and personality.

Your private online gallery allows you to select finished artwork, albums, digital collections, or individual images based on what fits your home and lifestyle.

Wall art and albums include the corresponding digital file. Digital collections and full galleries are also available if you’d like broader access to your images.

Artwork & Digitals

Once you’ve received your curated gallery, you’ll choose how you’d like to enjoy your images.

Wall art and albums are designed to help your photographs live beyond the screen and become part of your home. Images purchased as wall art or within albums include the corresponding high-resolution digital file.

Digital collections are also available, including options for a selection of favorites or the full gallery, allowing you to choose the level of access that fits your needs.

All digital files include a personal-use license for printing and sharing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A bit of both. I’ll gently guide you into natural poses and offer prompts to encourage real connection. Expect movement, laughter, and space to simply be yourselves rather than stiff or overly posed moments.

  • I photograph families of all shapes and stages, including LGBTQ+ families, parents with children, chosen family, extended families, and multigenerational groups.

    The consultation helps us talk through who will be photographed, the relationships you want to highlight, and what you’re hoping for so we can plan the session thoughtfully.

  • Pets are welcome in many sessions.

    If your pet is the primary focus, a Pet Session is the best fit so we can dedicate the time and attention they deserve.

    For people-focused sessions, a pet may be included when appropriate. Sessions involving multiple pets or expanded session goals may affect the session fee.

  • Digital images are not included with the session fee.

    After your session, you’ll receive a curated gallery and choose how you’d like to enjoy your images. Digital files are available for purchase individually or through collections. Images purchased as wall art or within albums include the corresponding digital file.

  • Yes. Extended family members and pets are welcome.

    Because larger groups or additional subjects require more time and coordination, sessions that include extended family members or pets may affect the session fee. These details are confirmed before booking so expectations are clear.

  • Family sessions typically take place outdoors or in locations that feel comfortable and meaningful to you.

    Location ideas are discussed during the consultation, and I’m happy to help guide the choice based on season, light, and the experience you’re hoping to create.

  • Family sessions are designed to allow space for movement, breaks, and real interaction. There’s no expectation that children behave a certain way or perform for the camera.

    We’ll talk through personalities, ages, and pacing during the consultation so the session feels natural and low-pressure.

  • After your session, you’ll receive a curated online gallery of fully edited images.

    From there, you may purchase wall art, albums, digital collections, or individual images directly through the gallery.

    Downloads are enabled only for purchased digital files. Wall art and albums include the corresponding digital file where applicable.

    Your gallery remains active for 90 days, giving you time to review, design, and order at your own pace.

  • Image Delivery:

    • Sneak peeks of 3–5 images within 72 hours
    • A curated gallery of fully edited images delivered within 2–3 weeks

    Artwork Delivery:

    Custom artwork typically arrives within 2–4 weeks of order placement. Specific timelines vary by product and are confirmed at the time of purchase.

  • Once your session is booked, you’ll receive a family photography prep guide with tips on clothing, location considerations, and how to help everyone feel comfortable and prepared.

    The guide is designed to keep things simple and stress-free, and to help you get the most out of the experience.
